When Wait & Load is the best choice
Perfect when you can load quickly and you want the waste gone today — without leaving a skip outside.
Flats & tight streets
Great where skip permits, parking or access are a pain.
Quick clear-outs
One visit: load up, we go. Ideal for end-of-tenancy and small refits.
Business sites
Good for brokerages and commercial waste where you want tidy compliance.
Price guide (Exeter Core)
A simple “from” guide based on weight and load size. Final price depends on your service zone and waste type. Full load up to 1 tonne: from £300 + VAT.
Up to ~250kg
A few bulky items, light mixed waste, small clear-out.
~250–500kg
Garage corner, light refurb waste, larger mixed load.
~500–750kg
Big clear-out, lots of bags, broken furniture, mixed waste.
~750–1000kg
Full van clearances. If it’s heavy (rubble/soil), message a photo first.
The quickest way to confirm pricing (especially for heavy waste) is a photo + postcode.
Extra charges (when applicable)
Most jobs are straightforward. These are the usual reasons the total can change.
Common add-ons
- Waiting time beyond the included 30 minutes (charged per minute).
- Heavy waste (e.g., rubble, soil, hardcore) due to disposal costs and weight limits.
- Long carry / multiple flights of stairs / awkward access.
- Dismantling required (e.g., wardrobes, sheds/fencing panels already down, heavy fixtures).
- Parking restrictions / special access arrangements (e.g., timed loading bays).
- Mattresses and certain bulky items where disposal costs are higher.
- Mixed commercial waste / trade waste depending on type and contamination.
If you send a photo, we’ll tell you up-front if anything falls into this list.
How to avoid delays
- Be ready to load when we arrive (bag it up / stack it). Included waiting time is 30 minutes.
- Clear access (gates unlocked, parking space if possible).
- Separate heavy waste (rubble/soil) from light mixed waste if you can.
- Flag “ask first” items before we arrive (see below).

FAQ
If you’re unsure, send a photo + postcode and we’ll steer you to the best option.
Is Wait & Load more expensive than standard removal?
It can be, because you’re booking the van and time on-site. If the waste is ready and you can load quickly, it’s a very efficient one-visit option.
Do you help load?
Wait & Load is primarily customer-loaded. If you need a full service load, use the Waste Calculator or message us and we’ll advise the best service.
Do I get paperwork?
Yes — you’ll receive a digital Waste Transfer Note after disposal.
What info do you need for a photo quote?
A clear photo (or two), your postcode, and what the waste is (especially if heavy). We’ll confirm price and the best load size.
